Pet of the Week February 17, 2021

Hi my name is Koko! I am a 3 year old mutt but 100% cute. I came to the shelter as an owner surrender, to no fault of my own. I am really blossoming at the shelter, I love all my shelter moms and I show it by giving the best hugs. I am a lap dog despite my size, so if you hate having a big ol girl cuddle up with you on the couch, then don’t pick me.

I love going for walks, and I’m working on my leash skills. I have a medium energy level- I’d enjoy daily walks, play time, and maybe some doggie puzzles to stimulate my mind. I’m a fast learner so I’d love to learn some new tricks- I already know how to sit and show off my pearly whites. I am looking for a quiet, relaxed forever home that will take it slow with me. I’ve got some trust issues with men, but it’s 2020 who doesn’t?! Like the famous Lizzo said “Yeah, I got boy problems, that’s the doggie in me.”

I need the right person to be patient and work with my fears and give me confidence/security. I will be a loyal best friend and your very own therapist, ready to listen to all your problems and kiss them away! I am also your go to girl for a girls night with your friends!

I may not do best in a home with children because of my fearfulness.
